Kareena Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Vijay Varma will co-star in Netflix’s adaptation of the novel The Devotion of Suspect X.

Kareena Kapoor, the actress, posted a selfie on Instagram on Monday. The image also included actor Vijay Varma. The team was recently in Darjeeling filming for their forthcoming feature, a Netflix version of the novel The Devotion of Suspect X.

Kareena captioned the photo, “Acha Vijay, are you attempting to read my messages?” #DSX @itsvijayvarma Shoot.” Kareena appears engrossed with her phone in the photo, and Vijay, who is seated behind her, is also looking away from the camera. “Yeah, most of them were from Nawab Sahab and nanny,” Vijay replied to Kareena’s tweet. “Then toh he would know too much,” actor Arjun Kapoor quipped, to which Kareena responded, “@arjunkapoor but I want to see your phone.”

Kareena completed the film’s Darjeeling schedule last month. She then returned to Mumbai with her husband, Saif Ali Khan, and their children, Taimur and Jeh.

The murder mystery project is a movie version of one of Keigo Higashino’s most renowned books. Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh is behind the camera for this project, which also has the backing of film producers Jay Shewakramani, Akshai Puri, and Thomas Kim. In addition, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma are going to have roles in the film.

Kareena spoke about the film and expressed excitement for her OTT debut in an interview with Hindustan Times. “I’m incredibly happy to be a part of this endeavor for various reasons,” she stated. This film will be my streaming debut, and it will be my comeback to acting after having my second kid, with a fantastic cast and crew. The film is a movie version of a worldwide best-seller. It has so many dimensions to it, including murder, mystery, thrills, and much more, that I am thrilled to get started on it with our great filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh.”
