Super Moms

Haryana native Varsha Burma was declared the champion of the third season of DID (Dance India Dance) Super Moms. Varsha won the trophy and 7.5 lakh in prize money. Before she participated in the dance reality show, she and her husband constructed buildings as hourly wage laborers. Varsha was among the six competitors for the trophy. On the show, she was guided by captain Vartika Jha.

After winning the competition, Varsha released the following statement: “This is truly a dream come true. The entire DID Super Moms experience has been a learning opportunity. I am ecstatic to have won the trophy; I have worked incredibly hard to get here, and I am indebted to my mentor Vartika Jha and the judges who have helped me realize my full potential as a dancer. I must say that the competition was extremely difficult, and I have learned a great deal from each of my competitors.”

Varsha stated in an interview with India Today that she would invest the prize money in the education and career of her son. She went on to say, “I never in a million years thought that I would win the show.” When I was standing on the stage and the winner’s name was about to be announced, I was about to be announced. I was in the final two and delighted. People may believe that I knew I would win, but I was thrilled to have made it this far. Reaching the final round was a major accomplishment for me.
