Pooja Hegde admits she had a crush on Hrithik Roshan and explains why she was heartbroken at the Koi Mil Gaya premiere.

Pooja Hegde revealed that when she was a child, she went to the Koi Mil Gaya premiere but was unable to get a photo with Hrithik Roshan.

Pooja Hegde was born and raised in Mumbai, did you know? In a recent interview, the actor revealed that because she has worked in several south Indian films, everyone has always assumed she is from South India. In an interview with Mashable India, Pooja revealed that even Hrithik Roshan assumed she was from south India.

Pooja recalled the incident, saying, “I was born and raised in Mumbai.” I recall doing a Mohenjo Daro look test with Hrithik. I told him I was going home right now. So he said, ‘Oh really?’ ‘What time does your flight leave?’ ‘Flight?’ I asked. ‘Are you not going home?’ he asked. I informed him that I was leaving for Bandra.” Pooja stated that the information had left Hrithik perplexed.

As the conversation progressed, Pooja Hegde revealed that she had a huge crush on Hrithik Roshan as a child. The actor recalled attending the Koi Mil Gaya premiere in the hopes of getting a photo with Hrithik. Unfortunately, things did not turn out as she had hoped.

“I went to see Koi Mil Gaya’s premiere. I’d brought my camera with me, along with the reel. I was hoping to get a photo with Hrithik Roshan. And, as is customary for celebrities, he came for 10 minutes, waved to everyone, and then left. I was devastated. I was heartbroken because Hrithik Ke Saath’s mere picture adheres reh Gaya. There is a picture of me crying next to a poster of Koi Mil Gaya,” she said, adding that she wishes she could go back in time and tell her younger self, “Wait, your story is not over. You’ll work with Hrithik Roshan on a feature film someday.

Salman Khan’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is the film Pooja Hegde is most excited about at the moment. The film is set to release on Christmas this year.
