Shah Rukh Khan is observed in Kashmir and gets a warm welcome as he prepares to film Dunki
Actor Shah Rukh Khan reportedly returned to Kashmir after a hiatus of several years to film the next film Dunki in Sonmarg. It has been reported that on Monday, Shah Rukh came in Kashmir to begin filming for the upcoming Rajkumar Hirani film. The last time Shah Rukh was in Kashmir was to make Yash Chopra’s 2012 film Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Flowers and a white shawl were presented to the actor and his crew as a welcome gift when they arrived at the resort in Sonmarg where they were staying.
Supporter pages included videos of Shah Rukh’s arrival at the resort. The actor and his crew were escorted by hotel staff while filming one of the clips. In the clip, the actor wore a black jacket and a shawl gifted by hotel workers around his neck. A second video shows him getting out of his car to be met by a mob of people. Given that Shah Rukh is now working for a Rajkumar Hirani film, many assume that he is in Kashmir shooting scenes for Dunki. According to some reports, he will also be shooting a song sequence for Dunki in Kashmir.
Shah Rukh and Rajkumar Hirani, who won a National Film Award for directing, worked together for the first time on the movie Dunki. Taapsee Pannu also has a part in the movie. Shah Rukh tried to talk about the movie’s plot and title at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia last December without giving too much away.
Shah Rukh told The Deadline that his movie would be called “Donkey” in English. In India, on the other hand, some people say “donkey” as “dunki.” The Punjabi word for “donkey” is “dunki.” How much of the story should I tell… This movie was made by Mr. Raju Hirani, who is one of the most creative filmmakers our country has ever had. The author is Abhijay Joshi, who is a very skilled writer. It’s about people who want to go home and do so when they finally get the call.”
The star said more about Dunki, saying, “It’s a comedy. Rajkumar Hirani’s works always have a lot of comedy and a lot of patriotism. So, it is a trip film that goes to different parts of the world before going back to India.
