Akshay Kumar as Shiva’s messenger saves Pankaj Tripathi’s son in the OMG 2 trailer
The video for OMG 2 is finally here after a long wait. The movie tells the story of a man who fights for his son’s right to go to school. In the film, Akshay Kumar portrays a “messenger of Shiva.” Pankaj Tripathi plays the man.
Lord Shiva starts the trailer by asking his loyal bull Nandi to send one of his servants to help Pankaj’s character, Kanti Sharan Mudgal, whose son was kicked out of school for doing something “vulgar.” Kanti has gone to court with a case, but he is both the accused and the person who is being accused. As a lawyer, Yami Gautam fights with Kanti in court, and Shiva’s message shows him the right way to go.
Amit Rai’s OMG 2 will compete against Gadar 2, which will star Sunny Deol. Since the images and teaser for OMG 2 came out, people have been talking about it. According to several news reports, the review board put the movie on hold because they wanted to be extra cautious because the film dealt with religion.
The movie OMG 2 is a follow-up to OMG: Oh My God, which starred Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar. In the first version of the movie, Akshay played Lord Krishna. Last month, the movie’s makers released a one-minute-and-26-second peek that showed a glimpse of the world of OMG 2.
The trailer was meant to be released on Wednesday, but it wasn’t because art director Nitin Desai was found dead earlier that day. Akshay wrote about the news on his social media page. “I am deeply saddened to learn of Nitin Desai’s death.” He was a mainstay in production design and a very important member of our film community. So many of my projects were made with his help, so this is a huge loss. We are not putting out the video for OMG 2 today out of respect. It will be available at 11 a.m. tomorrow. Om Shanti,” he said on Twitter.
