Bigg Boss 16: Gauahar Khan responds to Shalin Bhanot’s reference to Gautam Vig as a lady by expressing her disappointment

In response, past Bigg Boss contestants Gauahar Khan and Rajiv Adatia criticized Bhanot’s misogynistic remark.

In the episode, Shalin referred to Gautam as “aurat” and stated that, as a woman, he is weak and should not compete for the position of captain. The sexist statement has angered numerous celebrities and fans, who have taken to social media to vent their displeasure. Bigg Boss 7 winner Gauahar Khan took to her verified social media account in response to his insulting remark.

Khan tweeted, “Shalin Bhanot ladies are not fragile. To believe that calling Gautam an aura is disparaging is tremendously discouraging.” She stated that if he wishes to attack his competitors, he should focus on their characteristics and personalities. She concluded her statement by reminding him that his mother is also a woman, and in the next tweet she added, “Show some respect.”

On the other hand, Rajiv Adatia tweeted in response to Shalin’s remark, “They are stronger than all of us males combined! They bear a child for nine months, which men cannot even fathom! They are the most powerful in every respect!”
