When Alia Bhatt stated that she will marry when she is “ready to have babies”

Alia Bhatt had started four years before her marriage to Ranbir Kapoor that she would marry only when she wanted to have children. The actor revealed on Monday that he and his wife are expecting their first child.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor married in April of this year and are expecting their first child, according to Alia’s latest Instagram post. The couple had been dating for several years and were working on their debut film Brahmastra at the time. But, before they finally decided to marry, the actress stated unequivocally that she would marry when she wanted to have children.
The month after Alia turned 29, she married Ranbir. Ranbir is 39 years old. Brahmastra, their first film together, will be released in theatres on September 9th of this year. Alia mentioned the age she wants to marry in an old interview a few years ago.

The general public may expect that I will tie the knot at the age of thirty, but I may surprise both them and myself by getting married sooner. Isn’t this true nothing is set in stone? So, if I believe I am in a position to take such a step, I will. I’ve always assumed that I’d marry for the sake of having children. So, if I feel like, ‘This is the time I want to have my children and am also ready to have babies,’ I will marry,” Alia told Indian Express in 2018.

“Our baby….. coming soon,” Alia wrote on Instagram on Monday, alongside a photo from her ultrasound appointment, in which Ranbir was also present. She also shared a photograph of two lions and a lion cub.

Ranbir Kapoor recently discussed starting a family with fans and paparazzi at the Shamshera trailer launch. He said, “Sir, abhi mujhe bahot kaam karna hai. For your own sake, you must work, but your family is also there for you. Mai khudke liye kaam karraha tha. (I have a lot of work ahead of me.) Now that I have to start a family, I have to work for them. I worked for myself before).” Ranbir’s next movie is called Shamshera, and it will come out next month.
