Yami Gautam on the theatrical release of Lost: ‘I support the producers’ decision

Actress Yami Gautam discussed her forthcoming film, Lost, which is scheduled for release in India. Yami Gautam stated in a recent tweet that she will support whatever decision the film’s producers make on behalf of the cast and crew. Last month, the world premiere of Lost, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, took place at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival.

Wednesday, Yami responded to fan queries on a variety of themes. She announced, “Hey folks! It has been some time since we last interacted on Twitter. Let’s hold a #AskYami session tonight at 6 p.m.” One of her followers then inquired, “When will ‘LOST’ be released in theatres, you?? Please watch the film at the theatre. It has been a long since we last saw Bala on the big screen. Plz, Jammu.”

The actor responded, “Theatres are still our first passion, but OTT platforms and covid have changed everything! I will support my producers’ decision to release the film wherever it best suits them. But I guarantee that ‘Lost’ will be one of our best films in recent memory and that it will find an audience.” Lost also features Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna, and Neil Bhoopalam.

The film, billed as an emotional thriller, was shot in Kolkata by Yami. During her discussion about her stay in the City of Joy, Yami expressed her fondness for Bengali cuisine and sweets. She remarked, “Thanks to Tony da and his wonderful wife Indrani ma’am, I was well-fed while shooting ‘Lost’ in Kolkata.” “Thanks to Tony da and his gorgeous wife Indrani ma’am, I was well-fed.”

Yami was most recently seen in the film Dasvi, alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Nirrat Kaur. In addition to Lost, Yami will appear alongside Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi in Oh My God! 2. It is a continuation of Akshay’s OMG! Amit Rai is the director and writer of the film.
