Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s Wedding: Meet The Kapoors, Alia Is One Now

Alia Bhatt has been warmly welcomed into the Kapoor family. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor married on April 14, and now Armaan Jain’s wife Anissa Malhotra has posted wedding images. Alia is photographed with the Kapoors, Nandas, and Jains. Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor, Ranbir’s uncle Randhir Kapoor’s daughters, appear in the shot. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni is Ranbir’s sister. Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain, and his wife Anissa Malhotra are Ranbir Kapoor’s aunt Rima Jain’s children. Ranbir’s aunt, late Ritu Nanda’s son Nikhil Nanda, daughter-in-law Shweta Bachchan Nanda, and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda, as well as newlyweds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt Ranbir and Anissa are also seen standing with Akash Ambani and his wife Shloka Mehta in one snap. Anissa Malhotra congratulated the newlyweds, “Fam Congratulations to this wonderful pair inside and out,” in the caption.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Ranbir Kapoor’s sister, also uploaded a picture of the newlyweds with the caption, “Mrs. Kapoor @aliaabhatt, welcome to the family! We adore you.”

On the set of their new film, Brahmastra, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor fell in love. They dated for five years before getting married on April 14, 2013. The wedding was attended by just close friends and family members. After the wedding, Alia Bhatt uploaded photographs from the big day with the comment, “We were married today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home… on our favorite location – the balcony where we’ve spent the previous 5 years of our love. We can’t wait to make more memories together, memories full of love, laughing, comfortable silences, movie evenings, amusing arguments, wine joys, and Chinese nibbles. Thank you for all of your love and light at this difficult period in our life. It has added to the significance of this occasion. Ranbir and Alia, we love you.”

Brahmastra, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, will be released in September. Ayan Mukerji directed the film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy.
