According to Vivek Agnihotri, Akshay Kumar lauded The Kashmir Files out of obligation: ‘Woh majboori main…’

According to The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri, none of the celebs personally thanked him during the film. He also said that Akshay Kumar complimented the film out of obligation.

Celebrities such as Madhur Bhandarkar, Kangana Ranaut, Suniel Shetty, Abhishek Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, and Ram Gopal Varma have already complimented The Kashmir Files on their social media profiles, but director Vivek Agnihotri claims that none of them personally greeted him. The director believes Akshay Kumar’s appreciation for the film was compelled.

Agnihotri said in a recent interview with RJ Raunac that Akshay applauded The Kashmir Files solely because he was at a public function and was requested to comment about the film’s success. When RJ Raunac addressed Agnihotri about Akshay’s praise for his film, he said, “Woh toh majboori mean, ab kya bolega and jab 100 log saamne khadi hoke sawaal change Kashmir Files.” ‘Aapki film nahi Chali our woh Chal Gayi,’ how does it work? He had to say that because 100 people came up to him and asked about The Kashmir Files. What could he respond when someone inquired, “Your film didn’t fare well, but that one did?”

Earlier, Agnihotri tweeted a video of Akshay discussing The Kashmir Files with the message, “Thanks @akshaykumar for your admiration for #TheKashmirFiles.” “Hum sabko desh ki kahaniyan kehni hai, kuch jaani maani, kuch ankahi, ansuni,” the actor is heard saying in the video. Vivek ji ne Kashmir Files ko saamne rakha hai. Ye film ek aisi wave ban kar rakh diya hai, hum sabko jhinjhor kar rakh diya hai. Wo aur baat ki meri image ko duba diya hai.
