Deepika Padukone is the lone Indian artist on the jury for the 75th Cannes Film Festival. On all ten days of the famous event, the actor will be spotted strolling the red carpet.
Deepika Padukone arrived in Cannes earlier today and will serve as a jury member at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. The actor, who has attended the event regularly since 2017, was sighted at Mumbai’s airport on Tuesday. Deepika is the panel’s only Indian artist. The event will take place from May 16 through May 28. The Gehraiyaan star is slated to walk the red carpet every day for the next ten days.
Deepika Padukone was selected to be a member of the 75th Festival of Cannes’ elite and prestigious jury, which is chaired by French actor Vincent Lindon. Filmmakers include Asghar Farhadi, Noomi Rapace (Sweden), Rebecca Hall (Sweden), Jasmine Trinca (Italy), Ladj Ly (France), Jeff Nichols (USA), and Ladj Ly (France) Trier are others who have joined her.
Some of the films that will be shown at the famous festival include David Cronenberg’s dystopian sci-fi drama Crimes of the Future, South Korean director Park Chan-mystery work’s thriller Decision the departure of First Cow director Kelly Reichardt’s Showing Up
Deepika was most recently seen in Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan, which received mixed reviews. Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Project K, Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, The Intern, and her Hollywood romcom, which she will also produce, are among her future features.
