Deepika Padukone, the actress who has always stunned the world with her red carpet appearances, will be a member of the Cannes competition jury this year.

Deepika Padukone , the actress, will serve on the Cannes Film Festival’s competition jury this year. The jury of five men and four women will select the winners of this year’s Palme d’Or awards. Deepika, who has been a red carpet regular at the festival since 2017, is expected to walk for the entire ten days, according to current speculation.

The 75th Cannes Film Festival’s jury will be presided over by French actor Vincent Lindon. Along with Deepika Padukone , he will be joined on the jury by actors Rebecca Hall, Noomi Rapace, and Jasmine Trinca from Italy, as well as directors Asghar Farhadi, Ladj Ly, and Jeff Nichols, and Joachim Trier. On May 28, the jury will announce this year’s winners at a gala ceremony in Cannes.

Some of the films that will be shown at the prestigious festival include David Cronenberg’s dystopian sci-fi drama Crimes of the Future, starring Léa Seydoux, Kristen Stewart, and Viggo Mortensen; South Korean director Park Chan-(Oldboy) work’s mystery thriller Decision to Leave; and Showing Up, starring Michelle Williams. In the meantime, previous Palme d’Or winners such as Hirokazu Kore-eda and Ruben Stlund are back in the running.

Deepika Padukone has always dazzled the world with her stunning sartorial looks from the Met Gala and Cannes Festival.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone was most recently seen in Shakun Batra’s domestic film noir Gehraiyaan, and before that in Kabir Khan’s 83, which chronicles India’s World Cup victory. She is currently working on Fighter, a film starring Hrithik Roshan, as well as Pathaan, a film starring Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. Pathaan is set to be released in January 2023.
