Karnesh Sharma on Anushka Sharma quitting as producer: You can’t expect her to do that since she is a new mother

Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma recently announced her intention to step down as a producer from her production company, Clean Slate Films. She had stated that she wished to concentrate on acting.

Clean Slate Filmz was founded in 2013 by Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma. In the early years, they co-produced films such as NH10, Phillauri, and Pari, all of which starred Anushka in the lead. Later, they released films such as Paatal Lok, Bulbul, and Mai, which starred various performers. Anushka opted to take a break from performing and work as a producer on these projects instead. However, she just stated that she is leaving her position as a producer to pursue her ‘first passion,’ acting.

Anushka announced the news in a social media post, saying, “Being a new mother who has chosen to be an actress by profession, I have to manage my life in an altogether different way like never before.” So I’ve chosen to devote whatever time I have available to my first passion, acting! As a result, I’ve chosen to stand down from CSF, certain that the most capable individual, Karnesh, is carrying on the objective for which it was founded in the first place.” Anushka and Virat Kohli had their first child, Vamika, in January of last year.

Karnesh has now talked to The Indian Express regarding Anushka’s decision to resign. He said that since she is a new mother, concentrating on production would be tough for her.It is impossible for anybody to take Clean Slate Filmz away from her since she started the company. She has played a significant part in bringing us to this point in our journey. She has always been interested in the arts, whether it is performing or providing creative input to tales. She is going through a different stage in her life right now, and we must respect that. But she’s still involved; she’s in Chakda Express, in which she plays a character. According to him, “in the near future, you’ll see her in things that we’re working on.” Anushka Sharma stars in Chakda Express, a biopic about cricketer Jhoolan Goswami

Production is a 24/7 job and you can’t expect a new mother to do it, therefore I suppose her priorities have shifted. he continued. She was very open and honest about what she said, and it’s all right; she’s with us in spirit. There’s no way of knowing what’s going to occur in the future. I believe this is the stage in her life, and there may be another stage in her life where she returns; it is her company as much as it is mine.”

Anushka has not appeared in a film since Zero, which she co-starred in alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in 2018.
